The Speedway Kiwanis Club of Speedway, IN was chartered on June 10, 1987.

The Speedway Kiwanis Club has locally assisted with various charitable and not-for-profit events and organizations in the community.

Major projects have included renovation and promotion of the Indianapolis Soap Box Derby, located at Wilbur Shaw Memorial Hill, 30th and White River Boulevard in Indianapolis.

Local projects include the following:
All Speedway grade schools use our custom BUG (Bringing up Grades) program.
Scholarships are presented to Graduating Seniors who excel at Speedway High School.
Sponsor a Dinner for the Top Ten Students with their special mentor and family from Howard K. Lacy, Speedway High School.

Community Athletics Sponsored:
Speedway Little League, Baseball, Football, Softball and Soccer.

 In conjunction with other participating clubs in the Capitol District, we promote and contribute to Riley Children's Hospital pop-can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House, and the Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation, Outreach, Indiana District Foundation as well as Kiwanis International Foundation.
